The making of our latest campaign

It all started late 2006, when work began on the 'invention' concepts. Once the two ideas were agreed upon, Vadim Jean, an established and multi award winning director of commercials and feature films, was drafted in. More recently famed for his adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Hogfather for Sky One, Vadim agreed that working with the Extractor 3000 and Leisurely Lounger was as much a lure as working with David Jason!

The great British weather meant that Cape Town was a more ideal location for the three day shoot, and so plans were put in place to meet the February air times. And because conservatories are few and far between in South Africa, this included shipping a 2 tonne one to Cape Town via Amsterdam and Johannesburg.

The scale of the shoot was huge, and the 60 plus crew included puppeteers, a stunt woman and animal handlers. And after months of intense planning and organisation we now have two new commercials, with the first due to go on air in February.
